About

This is me. Attempting to blog. I live in Washington, DC. My salary is ultimately paid by the government (and thus the tax payers).  I recently finished graduate school, hoping to make a difference in this messed-up world.

I am a world changer. I try to find new and different ways to view the world around me, instead of the usual paradigm.

My background is in foreign policy, with a touch of economics. I worked in finance for a few years, taught budget management for a bit, and ended up in the non-profit sector working on health, environment, and science policy issues.

This blog reflects whatever is going through my head at the moment as I try to adjust to constant change in my life. Currently, I’m a bit fixated on personal growth, downshifting, goals, and moving overseas (VERY soon).

Love your site. Your thoughts are all over and absract, just like any normal human being, yet most do not express it in such ways. Keep doing your thing! Be easy!

Hi, I’m following you from your comment on my blog, Yes to Me. I guess you found me through Brip Blap. Steve is great.

Great name for the blog. paradigm shift is an absolute prereq for true changes. I see it in spiritual (not necessarily religious) ways.

Good luck on your journey. I hope the tax money gets used for good work done people like you.

Blessings,

Akemi Gaines
